Perth’s places of worship: Perth Mosque – ABC Perth – Australian Broadcasting Corporation

Perth Mosque is Australia’s first post- federation mosque established in 1905. In 2005 the Mosque’s centenary  was commemorated by former Premier Dr Geoff Gallop and gracefully attended by some foreign dignitaries including consul generals of Indonesia and the United States. It took our ABC a long time to do such an  in- depth but thankfully a non- biased  coverage of the mosque that has stood on William Street for more than 100 years!
